Case Study of Gabriela
The study analyzes the prevailing conditions in the care sector by narrating the “passion” of Gabriela, a Moldavian accountant who took the decision to expatriate on her own due to the collapse of the USSR. This study not only raises public awareness of the agony an immigrant brings from the country of origin, but also identifies the miserable conditions of the care sector with regards to psychological oppression, working uncertainty, and the lack of career development, which increase the difficulties the immigrant has to face in the country of immigration.
