The Position of Female Immigrants in Society and the Labour Market

The National School of Local Government has published an informative manual intended to educate readers about the role of women immigrants in today’s society and labour market. The manual examines the migratory phenomenon in Greece, the characteristics of and attitudes against women migrants, and available professional opportunities, together with good practices examples which will help to promote a seamless integration into Greek society. The issues it raises are not limited only to that extent, as the manual also identifies the difficulties a migrant woman may have to face during her integration, including social exclusion, lack of training, consequences of working undocumented, and risks of sexual exploitation.
